Known for her love of the color pink, Paula Creamer won her fourth LPGA event at the Samsung World Championship last week without one vital piece of pink equipment.
Instead of her pink Precept ball that usually makes an appearance on Sundays, Creamer used a new ball from Bridgestone. The B330-RX is designed for players with less than a 105 mph swing speed.
"Many of my fans are probably wondering where 'Pinky' was today," Creamer said. "I decided to experiment a bit this week. ... In early testing I quickly gained confidence in the B330-RX and knew it could be the perfect ball for me this week in the tough conditions."
Bridgestone owns Precept, the maker of Creamer's pink ball. She normally uses a Precept iQ 180 in white for the first days of a tournament and pink for the final day.
"We're really excited that Paula thought so much of the B330-RX in testing that she decided to put it in play almost immediately," said Dan Murphy, senior director of marketing for Bridgestone. "In routine R&D testing this week, she found that the B330-RX was performing best for her swing. We're thrilled that her experimentation worked out so well and resulted in yet another win."
The multilayer B330-RX has an extremely soft core that produces best results off the tee for players swinging between 85 and 105 mph. An inner cover enhances velocity and reduces spin with the driver and long irons. Like other Bridgestone golf balls, the B330-RX has a seamless cover and 330-dimple pattern.
Bridgestone has released the golf balls for sale at a suggested street price of $42.99/dozen.
